Where do I find schedules for work?
Your work schedule can typically be found on the the schedule page of this website.
Who do I ask if I have payroll questions?
If you have questions regarding your payroll, such as issues with your paycheck or inquiries about deductions, you should reach out to Heidi.
Who do I ask if I have a concern?
If you have a concern, whether it’s workplace-related or personal, it’s best to speak with Assistant Directors. If you feel uncomfortable discussing it with them, you can also contact Director. They are there to help you address any issues you may face.
Where do I look if I have a policy question or need a policy explained?
For questions regarding company policies, refer to the employee handbook first. If you need further clarification, don’t hesitate to ask assistant director or director.
Where do I find room schedules?
Room schedules can usually be found in each room. If you cannot locate the information, check with the room's Lead Teacher.
Where do I find supplies I may need?
You can find the supplies you may need at the designated supply room located across from bathroom or in Lion Room. Art supplies can be found in the art area outside of elephant room at end of hallway. If you require specific items that are not available, please submit a request through the supply request form available on this site.
Where do I go if I have a concern about the room I am in?
If you have any concerns about your room, such as maintenance issues or safety hazards, please report these to your Lead Teacher. They will assess the situation and escalate it to management if necessary.
What is the chain of command?
The chain of command is structured as follows: you report to your Lead Teacher, who may escalate issues to the Assistant Director if necessary. The Assistant Director then communicates with the Director, and if required, the matter may be brought to the attention of the Board of Directors. This hierarchy ensures that all concerns and feedback are handled efficiently. It is important that no steps in this process are overlooked and chain of command is followed exactly as listed above.
If I choose to terminate employment, how many weeks' notice do I give?
Employees are required to provide a minimum of three weeks' notice when they choose to resign. This notice period facilitates a smooth transition and allows the company adequate time to find a suitable replacement.
Please ensure that your resignation notice is delivered directly to management, rather than simply left on a desk. Notices that are not formally presented to management will not be considered valid.

What happens if I don't fulfill my 3 weeks?
If you do not complete the required notice period, it may affect your eligibility for rehire and impact your final paycheck. We encourage you to communicate with your supervisor if you encounter any difficulties in fulfilling this obligation.
If you do not provide the full three weeks’ notice, your final hours will be compensated at minimum wage. The final paycheck will be issued at the end of the three weeks and will be provided as a paper check.
Please ensure that all apparel is returned in good condition; otherwise, a deduction of $75 will be taken from your final paycheck.
How many in-service training sessions are required?
Employees must complete a minimum of 10 in-service training sessions each year. Blue Dragon Academy designates three mandatory staff in-service days: the Friday before Memorial Day, the Friday before Labor Day, and New Year's Eve from 12 PM to 3 PM. Please note that children are not permitted during in-service training sessions. Additionally, employees may be required to undergo further training for State or QCSD compliance.
